Woodchester Mansion is a 19th century Victorian Gothic masterpiece abandoned in mid construction in 1873. The house has fine quality stone carving, both inside and out, from the spectacular gargoyles to the elaborate apex stones, roof bosses of plants, animals and the Mansion’s famous Green Men. The Mansion is open at weekends (but not all Saturdays) and bankholidays from Easter to end of October
